Customers with the Rutledge dialing prefix 557 DO NOT MAKE THESE

All Customers in Putnam Morgan and Greene counties need to make the following changes before 12/31/99.
You will
not be able to access you internet account after 12/31/99 unless you make these
changes.

- Double Click on My Computer
- Double Click on Dial up networking
- Right Click on the icon for Sensible Technologies (This means point
the arrow on the icon and click the button on the RIGHT HAND side if your
mouse)
- Choose Properties
- Change the telephone number as follows:
- Customers in 467 or 486
Prefix:
453-1175
All others in Greene, Morgan and Putnam: 485-3666
- ONLY customers in the 467 or 486 telephone prefix should use 453-1175
- If you are calling form Milledgeville or the 912 area code of Putnam
county you will need to type 1-706-485-3666. Neither Sensible
Technologies nor Communicomm Cable are responsible for long distance charges
that you may incur. Please check with your local phone company and
make sure this is a local call with no tolls if you are not sure.
- Click on the tab that says "Server Types"
- Click on "TCP/IP SETTINGS"
- Click on the circle nest to "Server assigned name server
addresses" and choose OK
- Choose OK again
- Now double click on the Sensible Technologies Icon
- Change you user name so that it reads just your username (in lowercase letters) without the @sensible.net or
@sensible2.net. For example, If your email address is jones@sensible.net
you would just enter jones
- If you have problems with your username, try putting a 1 at the end of
your name. For example, jones1
- You password should already appear as *******. If not, enter you password in lowercase letters. If you can't remember
your password call Sensible Technologies at 706-453-0402 or Communicomm technical
support at 1-888-995-9222 or try using the
word password.
- Now hit connect. If you authenticate you did everything right.
If you have a password problem, call Sensible Technologies at
706-453-0402 If you have any other problems call Communicomm technical
support at 1-888-995-9222.
- Now bring up Internet Explorer.....The Blue E
- Click view and Internet Options in IE4 or Tools and Internet Options in
IE5
- Click the Connections tab
- Make sure Sensible Technologies is your default dialup connection
- make sure your DO NOT have a check in the box "access the Internet
using a proxy server". If you are suing Internet Explorer 5.0 you
will have to highlight Sensible Technologies in dial up settings and then click on
settings to the right and make sure there is not check in "use a proxy
server".
- Now bring up your email program outlook express.
- Go to Tools, then accounts, highlight pop.sensible.net and choose
properties to the right.
- Click on the Servers tab.
- For Outgoing mail SMTP, change the setting to read mail.netcommander.com
- The new mail server requires a password of at least six characters.
if you have a password problem with email try doubling your password.
For example, if your current password is dog, enter your email password as
dogdog when it prompts you
- click on the connections tab and make sure Sensible Technologies is in the drop down
box.
- Click on apply, then OK
- If you are using outlook express 4, you will need to go back to
tools and choose the dialup tab and choose do not dial a connection.
